On February 3, Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refinery Company Limited (Yanbu Refinery) officially signed a procurement and supply chain service agreement with Sinopec Global Trading (Saudi Arabia) Co., Ltd. Saad H. Binmatlig, CEO of Yanbu Refinery, and Zhao Yucheng, Deputy General Manager of Sinopec Materials and Equipment Department (Sinopec Global Trading), attended and witnessed the signing ceremony.
The milestone achievement was obtained after one year of coordinated efforts by Sinopec Beijing branch and Sinopec Middle East Company, under the guidance of the Procurement Management Office and Operation & Development Department of Sinopec Global Trading.
The long-term strategic cooperation was steadily advanced through multiple rounds of in-depth exchanges throughout 2025.
In March 2025, Yang Baogeng, Jin Hong and Liu Shuyin from Sinopec Middle East Company visited Yanbu Refinery and introduced Sinopec’s advanced procurement management and supply chain operation systems.
In September 2025, Sinopec Middle East Company invited the Yanbu Refinery team to attend the 4th EPEC Industrial Exhibition, further strengthening industry communication and mutual trust. During the exhibition, Zhang Junye and Liu Shuyin from the Middle East Company, together with Tian Tian from Sinopec Nanjing Company, conducted on-site business exchanges with client representatives.
In November 2025, the equipment and material export team of Sinopec Materials and Equipment Department (Global Trading), including Zhang Junye, Zou Deyi, Zhu Siyan, Li Jia, Zhou Bo and Yuan Zhou, paid a field visit to Yanbu Refinery to comprehensively promote all-round business cooperation.
The newly signed procurement and supply chain service agreement serves as a new starting point for deeper collaboration between the two parties. Relevant Sinopec business units will give full play to their global supply resource coordination advantages, optimize overseas procurement and material support systems, and strongly support the high-quality and sustainable development of Sinopec’s overseas energy projects, especially in the Middle East region.
