Sinopec Oilfield Service Corporation (SSC) is a large-scale comprehensive oil and gas engineering and technical service company controlled by China Petrochemical Corporation. It specializes in providing professional oilfield engineering services for global energy markets.
SSC owns two core wholly-owned subsidiaries focusing on overseas business layout. Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corporation is dedicated to delivering full-spectrum overseas petroleum engineering and technical services. Sinopec Petroleum Engineering Construction Corporation undertakes large-scale engineering construction businesses including surveying, design, construction and supervision.
SSC and its subsidiaries have long-term business presence in Saudi Arabia, undertaking multiple key projects for Saudi Aramco. Representative projects include the Saudi Aramco S62 3D seismic exploration project (won the bid in 2009, supplemented by the S62A 2D seismic exploration project in 2015), the S84 onshore 3D seismic exploration project with major technological breakthroughs in vibroseis high-efficiency acquisition, the Saudi Aramco MIP pipeline project, and the Saudi Arabia MGS Phase III project.
Sinopec Engineering Group Saudi Co., Ltd. was registered and established in Quba, Saudi Arabia, in April 2008. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec Engineering Group (SEG), it serves as SEG’s regional platform responsible for expanding and operating engineering construction businesses in Saudi Arabia.
By the end of 2025, the company has successfully secured more than 190 EPC and construction projects from major local owners including Saudi Aramco, SABIC and Saudi Mining Company, with a cumulative total contract value of approximately USD 11.835 billion.

Project Progress: Signed in June 2024, scheduled for mechanical completion on May 31, 2027. As of January 2026, the overall construction progress has exceeded 50%.
Project Name: Marjan Increment Program (MIP) Tanajib Area Pipeline Project (PKG-16) and Ras Tanura Area Pipeline Project (PKG-17)

Project Overview: The MIP project is one of Saudi Aramco’s most important offshore oilfield capacity expansion initiatives. PKG-16 consists of 9 pipelines with a total length of 199 kilometers, while PKG-17 includes 2 pipelines spanning 424 kilometers. The scope of work covers pipeline laying, welding, lining, cleaning and testing, supporting oil and gas transmission for the upgraded Marjan Oilfield. The construction sites are located near Tanajib and Ras Tanura in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.
Contract Cycle: Bid awarded in July 2019, with a contract period of 3 years and 5 months.

Executive Entity: A joint venture established by Sinopec Guangzhou Engineering Co., Ltd. (wholly-owned by SEG) and a Spanish technology company
Project Overview: The project provides preliminary engineering services for Saudi Arabia’s large-scale integrated green hydrogen and green ammonia complex in Yanbu. Ranked among the world’s largest green energy integration projects, the facility is designed to produce 400,000 tons of green hydrogen and 2.8 million tons of green ammonia annually.
Timeline: Signed in August 2025, scheduled for commercial operation in 2030.

Project Overview: The project focuses on the upgrading and revamping of existing ethylene glycol (EG) units, covering all 9 main process units with 45 sets of process equipment newly added or renovated.
Construction Progress: On-site construction commenced in November 2020, and the project achieved one-time successful startup in January 2022.

Project Overview: The project comprises 5 gas processing trains with a total daily processing capacity of 2.5 billion standard cubic feet. Sinopec undertakes all installation work for core gas processing units and utility systems, excluding civil engineering works.
Completion Timeline: Main construction works were completed and the project was officially put into operation in 2019.
