SINOPEC Refinery Product Sales Company Limited – Asia’s Premier Refined Refinery Product Trader Under Sinopec

Sinopec Refinery Sales Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec specializing in the marketing of all refinery-derived products, and also stands as one of Asia’s leading traders of refinery commodities.

The company traces its origin back to the Asphalt Sales Branch founded by Sinopec in 2004. It completed business registration as an independent corporate entity in March 2010 and adopted its current official name in 2012. With a registered capital of RMB 1 billion, its registration address is No.728 West Yan’an Road, Changning District, Shanghai, while the corporate headquarters is located at No.63 Huamu Road, Pudong New Area, Shanghai.

The company’s core product portfolio covers liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), petroleum coke, asphalt, sulfur, isooctane, paraffin wax and other refined oil chemicals. Its annual total trading volume hits approximately 40 million metric tons, generating nearly RMB 100 billion in annual operating revenue. All core products maintain top-tier domestic market shares. Three wholly-owned subsidiaries have been established across the country: Shanghai, Dazhou (Sichuan) and Jingmen (Hubei).

1. Sinopec Refinery Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Founded in 2020 and fully held by Sinopec Refinery Sales Co., Ltd., the subsidiary is situated in Lingang New Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone. It mainly engages in hazardous chemical distribution and petroleum product wholesale and retail.
2. Sinopec Refinery Sales Dazhou Co., Ltd. Set up in 2012 as a 100% owned subsidiary based in Dazhou, Sichuan Province, it focuses on sulfur wholesale and sales of by-products from Puguang Gas Field.
3. Sinopec Refinery Sales Jingmen Co., Ltd. Located in Jingmen, Hubei Province, this subsidiary serves as Sinopec Refinery Sales’ pivotal regional operation platform covering Central China.

Apart from fully-owned subsidiaries, the group runs one joint venture in Qingdao to support local regional market operations. Six regional sales centers have been deployed across South China, North China, Central China, East China, Western China and Shandong Province. In addition, resident sales offices have been stationed at over 30 Sinopec refineries and oilfield facilities nationwide. These offices are internal branches without independent legal person status, distinct from incorporated subsidiaries.

Among its full product range, the flagship Donghai Brand asphalt has recorded cumulative sales exceeding 100 million tons. The brand was valued at nearly RMB 5.7 billion in 2024, and its asphalt products are widely adopted in national key infrastructure projects including high-grade highways, high-speed railways and airport runways.

In terms of emerging business expansion, the sales of special coke for lithium-ion battery anode materials surpassed 1 million tons for the first time in 2025, marking a landmark breakthrough for the company in the high-end carbon material sector.
