Sinopec Geophysical Corporation was registered and incorporated in Beijing on December 21, 2012 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec Oilfield Service Corporation.

It is a specialized integrated technical service enterprise under Sinopec Group covering full industrial chain of geophysical data acquisition, seismic processing, geological interpretation, technical R&D, equipment manufacturing and reservoir engineering services. Serving as Sinopec’s core technical support center for upstream oil & gas exploration business, the company is Sinopec’s primary market operator competing in domestic and international geophysical engineering service sector and has grown into an international geophysical service provider featured with advanced technologies, sophisticated equipment and high-caliber professional teams.

The corporation consists of five regional branches: Shengli, North China, Wuhan, East China and South China, alongside four functional centers for Material & Equipment Management, International Business, Technology R&D and Beidou Operation Service. The company owns full-spectrum integrated geophysical capability to conduct seismic acquisition, data processing and geological interpretation across complex landforms: plain, plateau, mountain, desert, gobi, loess tableland, swamp, jungle, urban built-up area, dense river network, land-sea transition zone, shallow offshore waters and permafrost zones.

It has delivered reliable geophysical exploration support for major domestic oil & gas assets such as Shengli Oilfield, Zhongyuan Oilfield, Henan Oilfield, Jianghan Oilfield, Jiangsu Oilfield, Northwest Oilfield and Puguang Gas Field.
