Baling SEBS is widely used for overmolding, toy elastomers, wire & sealing profiles, plastic modification, adhesives, auto spare parts, consumer electronics and sports equipment, as well as Class III medical devices.
Medical-grade SEBS is developed to substitute PVC and eliminate hidden safety risks existing in conventional PVC infusion sets. Infusion products made from SEBS-based materials are generally named TPE infusion sets in the medical device industry.
Baling medical SEBS YH-506 has finished all required certification tests at Jinan Medical Device Quality Supervision and Inspection Center in Shandong. Test data proves its biocompatibility, chemical and physical properties meet design targets. Relevant test certificates and enterprise specifications are available for its production and sales.
Baling Petrochemical SEBS YH-502 features medium molecular weight, outstanding processing elasticity and high transparency. It fits plastic modification, Shore A 20~40 soft elastomer and transparent soft toy manufacture. The grade can be blended with SIS to produce hot melt adhesives for sheet stock and gel candles, and is also applicable for glass sealants, plastic modification and vibration-damping materials. It is commonly compounded with other resins to balance mechanical property and processability of finished blends.
When used for hot melt adhesive, YH-502 shares similar base formulation with SEBS 501. Hot melt adhesive based on YH-502 delivers better cohesion yet higher melt viscosity, which can be adjusted down via extra extender oil loading.
Baling SEBS 503 and 503T maintain favorable mechanical performance under high filler loading and form intact dual INP network after blending with PP. They serve as base raw materials for blended elastomers including overmolding materials, anti-vibration parts, road marking paints, sealing strips and reinforcing modifiers for other elastomers and plastics.
The grades are compatible with most plastics for compounding, and different resins bring distinct property changes: Adding powdered PPO into SEBS 503/503T blends boosts phase separation between styrene and butadiene segments, upgrading heat resistance, mechanical strength, rigidity and surface smoothness of final products. Moderate addition of α-methylstyrene-acrylonitrile copolymer effectively eliminates surface tackiness of finished articles.
