Centering on high-quality development and core secondary business expansion tasks, Qilu Petrochemical Company has accelerated the upgrading of fundamental quality technology capabilities and strictly guarded quality and safety boundaries, providing robust quality support for operational efficiency improvement and industrial transformation.
Li Gang, Assistant General Manager of Sinopec Group, Representative and Party Secretary of Qilu Petrochemical Branch, delivered key requirements during the daily production and operation video meeting on April 7. He stated that Qilu Petrochemical has built a full-chain quality management system covering system iteration, design risk control, on-site process supervision and post responsibility implementation. He required all staff to prioritize quality management based on actual production conditions. Amid the critical secondary business expansion period, every employee shall fulfill professional responsibilities to refine granular quality management, and leverage superior product quality to sustain long-term high-quality corporate development.
Qilu Petrochemical Acrylic Fiber Department owns the only domestic production line for dry-spun acrylic fiber in China. On March 11, multiple acrylic fiber products developed by the department were exhibited at the 2026 China International Yarn Exhibition. The products gained widespread customer recognition thanks to optimized physical performance, stable quality and multi-scenario functional adaptability.
If operational safety acts as the ballast stone for petrochemical enterprises, product quality serves as the market access passport. To further standardize quality workflows, Qilu Petrochemical officially launched a series of themed activities for the annual Quality Day. The company re-identified full-lifecycle quality risks covering raw material receiving, process reaction and finished product warehousing. Frontline teams eliminate abnormal quality indicators timely through daily equipment patrols, real-time process parameter monitoring and big data trend analysis.
The Science and Technology Department tracks dynamic process quality indicators every day via the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and centralized alarm management platform. Once abnormal fluctuations are detected, the department will notify affiliated workshops for parameter adjustment immediately and coordinate the Inspection and Measurement Center to conduct enhanced sampling analysis to guarantee all delivered products meet national and industry standards.
All internal departments and production workshops have strictly implemented requirements listed in the 2026 Qilu Petrochemical Quality Work Guidelines, focusing on risk early warning, full-process dynamic supervision and post accountability. In the No.1 Styrene-Butadiene Rubber Workshop of the Rubber Plant, a special quality tackling team consisting of senior technical engineers and experienced operators was established. The team carries out targeted technical research on three core pain points: rubber performance optimization, micro impurity precision removal and production material loss reduction. Meanwhile, the workshop increased inspection frequency for rubber surface quality and packaging weight to avoid unqualified products entering downstream supply chains.
From corporate functional departments to grassroots production posts, and from raw material inbound inspection to finished product outbound delivery, company-wide quality upgrading campaigns are accelerating industrial transformation. Qilu Petrochemical upgraded its overall quality management architecture by adopting pyramid hierarchical management and PDCA closed-loop circulation. The iterative management mode realizes continuous spiral improvement of product quality rather than one-off rectification.
The Chlor-Alkali Laboratory under the Inspection and Measurement Center is advancing preparation work for the localized independent LIMS system, a core digital project of Sinopec’s group-wide informatization layout. Different from imported mainstream systems, this domestic self-developed platform supports full-data traceability covering the entire industrial chain from raw material warehousing to finished product shipment. All critical quality detection data will be incorporated into regular quality control scheduling. Pre-project debugging will be completed in May 2026, and official online operation is scheduled for June 2027. The embedded abnormal data early warning model can identify potential quality risks in advance and prevent batch quality accidents at the initial stage.
Thanks to long-term technical iteration and quality polishing, high-pressure low-density polyethylene (LDPE) cable compounds manufactured by Qilu Petrochemical Resin Department occupy a leading domestic market share and play a pivotal role in national cable material localization substitution.
According to the latest Sinopec corporate customer satisfaction survey, Qilu Petrochemical achieved an overall satisfaction score of 94.59 for LDPE products. All sub-indicators except technical services outperform both Sinopec group average and domestic industry benchmarks. Specifically, the LDPE overall product quality satisfaction score reaches 96.12. For specialized LDPE cable compounds, quality stability satisfaction hits 95.88% and application performance satisfaction reaches 96.31%, fully demonstrating the company’s hard power in product quality and after-sales technical support.
Furthermore, the coal gasification unit of the No.2 Fertilizer Plant won the Best Gasification Operation Award issued by Air Products (AP) at the 2026 Air Products Syngas China User Conference. The honor proves the unit has reached top-tier domestic operational standards for coal water slurry gasification, achieving dual goals of energy conservation and quality-efficiency upgrading.
